Strange parents
Strange at a young age
Are your parents strange? Well, mine are but they are also super cool. Here are some things that make me roll my eyes but at the same time make me laugh.
- A little awhile ago my mom went shopping for cat food and she saw that bird feed was way cheaper than cat food so she made a joke. “I bought the bird feed and sprinkled it on the yard and let the cats out.” (Your cats like to hunt).
- The other day my mom came to pick me up from school and as we walked to the car she started to sing the Barney theme song (I Love You). I was super humiliated!
- Not long ago my dad’s old friends came over and at the dinner table the adults had a debate about short memory (my dad and his friend) and long memory (my mom) it was so strange.

Hi Darion,
Your parents sound great. I think they will be able to tell how much you appreciate their quirkiness. I wonder if I am strange, because the bird seed vs. cat food joke of your mom’s is economically strategic. Okay, I am also thinking, “poor little birds.”

Hi Ms Clayton, how are you?
The birds in my neighborhood are safe, my mom would never actually do that, it was just a joke.
My parents are amazing and hilarious I love them with all my heart.
Oh and Ms Clayton I can not picture you being as strange as my parents, but then, I only know you through the computers so what am I to say?

Not all parents are perfect and there will never be a perfect parent. You are so blessed to have such cool parents. You should really be proud and thankful for that.

Don’t think I’m not happy or proud of them and that I don’t love them.
They are two of the people that I love the most in my whole family.
